Senator Khalil Tahir Sandhu Discusses Peace and Interfaith Harmony with Pope


Vatican City: Senator Khalil Tahir Sandhu, a member of the Senate of Pakistan, met with Pope Francis at the Vatican to discuss initiatives on peace, dialogue, and interfaith harmony. According to Senate of Pakistan, the Pope commended the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for their efforts in diplomatic and strategic arenas, particularly during the Iran conflict.



Senator Sandhu expressed pride in Pakistan’s role and the recognition of its leadership at a global level. He emphasized the significance of sustained dialogue, peaceful interactions, and interfaith comprehension for worldwide peace and stability. Furthermore, Senator Sandhu extended an invitation to Pope Francis to visit Pakistan, describing such a visit as a historic and joyous event for the country’s Christian community.



The meeting underscored Pakistan’s dedication to fostering peace, religious harmony, and better understanding among diverse faiths and communities.
