Arusha: Senator Amir Chishti has been elected to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Committee on Health, achieving the highest number of votes among candidates at the 153rd IPU Assembly, held at the Arusha International Conference Centre in Tanzania. His election is being celebrated as a significant accomplishment for Pakistan on the global stage.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Senator Chishti secured 64 votes, surpassing all other candidates in the election. The newly elected President of the IPU and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Australia, Milton Dick, personally congratulated Senator Chishti for his success.
