Islamabad: The House Business Advisory Committee of the Senate convened at Parliament House on Wednesday under the leadership of Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, to review the legislative agenda for the 362nd Session of the Senate. The committee also engaged in discussions regarding the upcoming Federal Budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 and addressed significant national and international issues. The current session of the Senate is scheduled to continue until June 23, 2026.

According to the Senate of Pakistan, the meeting was preceded by a birthday celebration for Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, where parliamentary leaders extended birthday wishes and participated in a cake-cutting ceremony. Chairman Gilani expressed gratitude to the parliamentary leaders for their gesture.

The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including Deputy Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan; Leader of the Opposition Senator Raja Nasir Abbas; Senator Saleem Mandviwala; Senator Sherry Rehman; Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination, Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan; and other senators and ministers. Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider provided a briefing on the legislative business set for consideration during the ongoing session.
