Tashkent: In an official visit to Tashkent, the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, is leading a parliamentary delegation to participate in the 150th Anniversary Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which begins today.

During the visit, Chairman Gilani met with Tanzila Narbayeva, the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan. The discussions between the two leaders centered on enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation and strengthening the legal framework surrounding bilateral relations.

Both sides expressed intentions to expand collaboration in sectors deemed mutually beneficial, highlighting a shared commitment to fostering strategic partnerships. The meeting underscored the steady development of friendly ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, marking a continued effort to build on existing relationships.
