Security Forces Repel Infiltration Attempt at Pakistan-Afghanistan Border

North Waziristan: Security forces in Pakistan successfully repelled an infiltration attempt by a group of militants near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border on the night of April 5th-6th in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan District. The incident resulted in the deaths of eight militants and injuries to four others.

The group of militants, identified as khwarij, were detected by security personnel as they attempted to cross the border. The security forces engaged the group in an intense exchange of fire, effectively thwarting their infiltration attempt.

The operation underscored the ongoing security challenges in the region, where Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Interim Afghan Government to enhance border management and prevent the use of Afghan territory for acts of terrorism against Pakistan.

Following the incident, Pakistani security forces initiated a sanitization operation to ensure the area was clear of any remaining militants. The Pakistani military remains committed to securing its borders and eradicating terrorism within the country.

This incident highlights the persistent security concerns along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and the need for cooperative efforts to manage the movement of militants in the region.
