Tank: Security forces in Pakistan have neutralized twelve terrorists affiliated with the Indian-sponsored group Fitna al Khwarij following an attack on a joint police check post in the Tank district. The clash resulted in significant loss and damage, with fifteen security personnel losing their lives.
According to Radio Pakistan, the attack occurred when the assailants attempted to breach the check post’s security, prompting a swift response from the security forces. The confrontation was marked by the forces’ decisive actions, ultimately thwarting the attackers’ plans. The terrorists employed an explosive-laden vehicle in a desperate bid to penetrate the perimeter, resulting in considerable damage to the infrastructure and further casualties.
Efforts are currently underway to conduct a sanitization operation aimed at eliminating any remaining threats posed by the group in the area. This operation is part of the broader Counter Terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam,” launched under the guidance of the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan. The campaign underscores Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from its territory.
