CHOLPON-ATA: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with the Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, met with President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov at the State Residence of the President in Cholpon-Ata. The meeting focused on regional and global developments and the evolving role of the SCO as a platform for cooperation.
According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister Dar conveyed warm greetings from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended during the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. He emphasized the significance of continued collaboration among SCO member states, as Pakistan is set to assume the SCO Chairmanship for 2026-27. The discussion underscored the importance of the SCO in addressing regional challenges and fostering cooperation among member nations.
