Islamabad: Security forces have successfully killed thirteen members of the militant group Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in a series of five separate engagements across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a press release by Radio Pakistan. The operations, which were intelligence-driven and high-tempo, are part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign by the security forces.

According to ISPR, the most notable of these operations took place in Bajaur District, where troops engaged militants in an intense fire exchange, resulting in the death of five members of the group. In further operations, three militants were neutralized in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan Districts, while simultaneous engagements in Khyber and South Waziristan Districts resulted in the deaths of five more militants.

The security forces also reported the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the deceased individuals, who were allegedly involved in various terrorist activities. To ensure the complete elimination of any remaining threats, sanitization operations are ongoing in these areas.

Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have commended the operations. In separate statements, they praised the professionalism of the security forces and emphasized the importance of these actions in maintaining national peace. The Prime Minister reiterated the nation’s support for the armed forces in their fight against terrorism and reaffirmed the commitment to eradicating the threat completely.
