Islamabad: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has initiated a new series titled “SECP Talk Series,” with the goal of fostering policy dialogue, enhancing market awareness, and facilitating knowledge exchange on emerging trends in global finance and regulation.
According to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the first session of the series featured Christopher Wood, a prominent global market strategist, who provided insights into global economic trends, emerging markets, and investor behavior. He also discussed the future outlook for capital markets in the context of current geopolitical and economic challenges.
The session was attended by SECP Commissioners, senior management officers, capital market professionals, and SECP employees. The participants engaged in a discussion on investment trends, monetary policies, technological transformation, and the increasing influence of emerging economies in the global financial landscape.
SECP Commissioner Ali Frid Khawaja highlighted the importance of the SECP Talk Series in promoting continuous learning and informed policymaking. He emphasized the long-term potential of Pakistan’s capital markets and the necessity of staying connected with international market developments.
