ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) announced a landmark achievement in corporate registration, incorporating an unprecedented 4,082 companies in April 2026. This marks the highest number of monthly incorporations ever in Pakistan’s corporate history, bringing the total number of registered companies to 294,101.
According to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the SECP also set new daily incorporation records, registering 300 companies on April 27, 2026, and surpassing it with 340 companies on April 30, 2026. This achievement reflects growing investor confidence in Pakistan’s economic outlook and marks progress toward a formal economy. The Commission is committed to further streamlining regulatory processes and fostering a transparent, digital environment for investors and entrepreneurs.
Geographically, Punjab led with 2,093 new registrations, followed by the Islamabad Capital Territory with 719, Sindh with 600, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 325, Gilgit-Baltistan with 276, and Balochistan with 69. Private limited companies were the preferred corporate structure, with 2,415 registrations, and single-member companies accounted for 1,542 registrations.
The information technology and e-commerce sector led with 832 new incorporations. Other key industries such as trading, services, real estate, tourism, food and beverages, education, and textiles saw significant growth, evidencing diversification in Pakistan’s corporate landscape. International participation came from 22 countries, with China as the leading foreign investor contributing over PKR 193 million in capital.
