Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has reiterated its commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Pakistan, as articulated by Naif Bin Mlafakh, the Saudi Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan. Addressing a reception in Islamabad held in celebration of the 96th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Naif Bin Mlafakh emphasized the shared resolve of both nations to promote security, stability, and prosperity.

According to Radio Pakistan, the event was attended by several key figures, including National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, federal ministers, parliamentarians, and members of the diplomatic corps. Naif Bin Mlafakh extended greetings on behalf of the Saudi Embassy to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Saudi government, and its people.

The Saudi Chargé d’Affaires described the National Day as a moment to reflect on the Kingdom’s history and its developmental milestones under the leadership of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. He also focused on the achievements driven by Saudi Vision 2030, noting its role in economic diversification and enhancing the global standing of Saudi Arabia.

Emphasizing the historical and evolving nature of Pakistan-Saudi relations, Naif Bin Mlafakh highlighted the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed in 2025, which has introduced a strategic dimension to their bilateral ties. He also mentioned the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement with Pakistan and Turkiye, underscoring its significance in bolstering regional security and cooperation.

The event served to reaffirm the importance of the strategic and brotherly relationship between the two nations, as both countries continue to navigate emerging challenges and global changes together.
