Islamabad, In a gesture underscoring the deep ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, Nawaf Bin Said Al-Malki, the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan, has pledged to fund the renovation of the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. The commitment was made during his visit to the mosque alongside Caretaker Interior Minister Gohar Ejaz today, signaling a significant contribution towards the preservation and enhancement of this iconic religious site.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Caretaker Interior Minister Gohar Ejaz, speaking at the mosque, highlighted the structure’s importance as a special gift from Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. He acknowledged the mosque’s need for beautification and renovation, necessitated by the wear and tear over time. Ejaz expressed gratitude towards Ambassador Al-Malki for assuming the financial responsibilities associated with the mosque’s upcoming beautification and renovation works.
