SAARC Secretary General Bids Farewell to Pakistani Prime Minister


Islamabad: The Secretary General of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), H.E. Ambassador Md. Golam Sarwar, made a farewell visit to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House, highlighting the culmination of his term in the regional organization. During the meeting, the Prime Minister acknowledged the Secretary General’s role in advancing regional cooperation and reiterated Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to the SAARC Charter.



According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the need to rejuvenate regional cooperation within SAARC to enhance connectivity, promote sustainable development, and ensure shared prosperity among South Asian nations. He expressed his best wishes to Ambassador Md. Golam Sarwar for his future endeavors, recognizing the contributions made during his tenure.



The Secretary General expressed gratitude for the support provided by Pakistan during his leadership, marking the end of his service with acknowledgments of collaboration and mutual objectives achieved through SAARC’s initiatives.
