Multan: The High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, Fatou Harerimana, met with Senate Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at Gilani House to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation and regional matters. Both leaders expressed their commitment to strengthening relations between Pakistan and Rwanda on both bilateral and multilateral fronts.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting included discussions on promoting bilateral cooperation and mutual interests. Gilani highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Multan, emphasizing its identity as the “City of Saints” and its renowned blue pottery. He also noted Pakistan’s focus on strengthening ties with African countries and announced an upcoming visit of a Pakistani delegation to Rwanda.
Gilani shared insights on tourism promotion during his tenure as Minister for Tourism, highlighting security measures for foreign tourists. Harerimana, on her first visit to Multan, expressed appreciation for the city’s historical sites and blue pottery, and planted a sapling at Gilani House. The meeting was attended by several local dignitaries, including Syed Ali Haider Gilani and Colonel Shyaka Kajugiro Ismail.
