Islamabad: The Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhary, announced that the ruling coalition is open to resuming negotiations with the opposition. This willingness comes with the condition that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party cancels its Long March and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government fully implements the National Action Plan against terrorism.
According to Radio Pakistan, Chaudhary emphasized during a news conference in Islamabad that while constitutional options are being considered, the government prefers negotiations as the primary approach. He expressed regret that the opposition had previously abandoned discussions, even though there was a consensus on issues related to terrorism. Chaudhary reiterated that the ruling coalition had engaged in those negotiations with the opposition with genuine intent.
