Remains of Pakistani Pilgrims from Iran Tragedy Arrive in Jacobabad


Jacobabad: The remains of 28 Pakistani pilgrims, who perished in a tragic bus accident in Yazd, Iran, have been repatriated to Pakistan aboard a special flight. The arrival marks a somber moment for the nation as it mourns the loss of its citizens. The plane also returned 16 nationals who sustained injuries in the accident.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the aircraft touched down in Jacobabad where it was met by Provincial Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Director General Liaison Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Karachi, Irfan Soomro. The presence of high-level officials underscored the gravity of the incident and the government’s commitment to aiding those affected. Additionally, before the plane’s departure from Iran, Governor Mehran Fatemi and Imam Juma of Yazd paid their respects to the deceased, honoring their memory at Yazd Airport.
