Religious Leaders Pledge Support to Government for Peace Initiatives


Islamabad: Religious scholars and Ulema have declared their full support for the government’s initiatives aimed at fostering peace, harmony, social stability, and national security. This commitment was articulated during a high-level meeting convened in Islamabad, chaired by the Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousuf.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Ulema and Mashaikh also extended their unequivocal support to the Armed Forces of Pakistan in their endeavors to uphold peace, stability, and national unity. They emphasized their dedication to the supremacy of the Constitution and the stability of state institutions, expressing complete solidarity with the government and security forces in the fight against terrorism, extremism, and subversive activities.



The religious leaders paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the armed forces, acknowledging the nation’s indebtedness to the martyrs and Ghazis. They also urged scholars from all schools of thought to work towards promoting national unity and harmony.
