KARACHI: Karachi Kings have appointed former player Ravi Bopara as the head coach for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bopara, who played for Karachi Kings from 2016 to 2019 and also served as the team’s captain, brings extensive experience to the role.
In recent years, Bopara has been involved with the franchise in various capacities. In 2023, he contributed to the team as the batting coach, and in 2024, he was appointed as the assistant coach. His familiarity with the team and its dynamics is expected to be an asset in his new leadership position.
In addition to the coaching changes, Mohammad Masroor, who previously served as the assistant coach, has been given additional responsibilities as the high-performance coach. The announcement comes ahead of the 10th edition of the PSL, which is set to begin on April 11.
The appointment of Bopara is seen as a strategic move by Karachi Kings to strengthen their coaching staff as they prepare for the upcoming season.
