ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political and Public Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has extended another invitation to the opposition to engage in dialogue to address political and economic issues. This development was announced during a Senate session where Sanaullah emphasized the importance of discussion for political stability.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sanaullah reiterated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has consistently called on the opposition from the platform of the National Assembly to participate in talks aimed at resolving economic and political challenges. He also addressed the legal proceedings related to incidents from May 9, stating that any attacks on state institutions are being managed within the constitutional and legal framework, with courts solely responsible for granting any legal relief in criminal cases.
Furthermore, Sanaullah assured that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and his spouse are receiving adequate medical and other facilities as per the jail manual. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar also addressed the Senate, mentioning that concerns about the prison conditions of the PTI founder have been evaluated by both judicial and legal entities, with reports presented before courts and international parliamentary bodies. The Senate is scheduled to reconvene at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
