Quetta: In a significant crackdown on non-customs paid and illegal vehicles, Quetta Police and Traffic Police have handed over more than 100 seized vehicles to the Customs Department.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the handover was facilitated by IG Police Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Sheikh, who officially transferred the vehicles to Chief Collector Customs Balochistan Muhammad Yaqoob Ma during a ceremony attended by senior officers from both departments.
The seized vehicles are set to be auctioned, with proceeds directed to the national treasury. This move comes as part of ongoing efforts to enforce the law against illegal vehicles, following directives from the Balochistan High Court to intensify operations on the city’s entry and exit points. The police assert that these actions will continue without discrimination to uphold the law.
