Doha: Qatar has expressed its appreciation for Pakistan’s significant contribution to efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and fostering diplomatic dialogue for regional security and stability. This commendation was made by Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani during a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan and his delegation in Doha.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting, which was held at the Amiri Diwan and lasted over an hour, featured discussions on the latest regional and international developments, with a specific focus on the Middle East. The Prime Minister of Pakistan reiterated his condemnation of attacks against Qatar and other Gulf countries, pledging Pakistan’s full support and solidarity with Qatar’s leadership and people.
The leaders highlighted the importance of backing de-escalation efforts and enhancing international coordination to ensure the region’s security and stability, particularly in maintaining the smooth flow of energy supply chains. They also explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations in security, defense, and energy sectors, aiming to bolster the partnership and create new opportunities for cooperation.
In a one-on-one session, the Amir and the Prime Minister exchanged views on mutual interests, stressing the need for ongoing coordination and consultation, especially considering current events and their impact on regional security and stability. The Amir hosted a luncheon in honor of the visiting Prime Minister and his delegation, following the discussions.
