Lahore: Punjab Police Khidmat Marakaz is playing a significant role in delivering digital services to citizens, with over 1.322 million individuals benefiting from these facilities so far this year. According to Punjab Police, these centers are part of a flagship public service delivery initiative that operates around the clock, providing a wide range of services from police verification to legal and social protection for vulnerable groups.
Punjab Police spokesperson detailed that more than 507,000 citizens have utilized general police verification services, while over 266,000 have been issued police character certificates. Additionally, over 310,000 residents have completed tenant registrations. The centers have issued 43,724 medico-legal certificates and have offered legal and social protection to more than 35,000 individuals in vulnerable categories.
Moreover, 11,548 citizens availed themselves of vehicle verification services, and 29,410 registered document loss reports. Crime reports were filed by 1,029 individuals, and 58,272 copies of FIRs were obtained. The centers also registered 20 women violence reports, completed employee registration for 57,535 citizens, and provided police verification for private employment to 765 individuals. Inspector General of Police Punjab, Abdul Kareem, emphasized the importance of polite interaction with citizens at these centers and other public service venues.
