Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has introduced a significant financial assistance program for wheat growers and registered motorcycle owners in the province. The announcement, made via a social media post, aims to mitigate the impact of rising fuel prices due to the ongoing global crisis.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister revealed that wheat producers owning up to 25 acres will receive a subsidy of 150 rupees per liter on ten liters of diesel per acre. This measure is expected to provide some relief to farmers facing increased production costs.

In addition to aiding wheat growers, the Chief Minister has also rolled out a relief package for motorcycle owners. The package includes the exemption of bike registration and transfer fee charges. Furthermore, a monthly subsidy of two thousand rupees will be available for 20 liters of petrol for each registered bike. Motorcycle owners can access the subsidy by contacting Helpline 1000, using the mobile app “Maryam Ko Batayn,” or visiting the web portal mkb.punjab.gov.pk.
