Public Support Crucial to Tackling National Challenges, Says Information Minister

Lahore: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, emphasized the pivotal role of public support in addressing Pakistan’s national challenges during a workers’ convention in Lahore. He credited the strength and resilience of the Pakistani people as a significant source of inspiration for governmental efforts.

Speaking at the NA-127 convention, Tarar expressed confidence that with public backing and determination, complex national issues could be effectively managed. He highlighted that a government’s true strength is rooted in its people, and when leaders demonstrate resolve and clear intentions, success follows.

Tarar remarked on the government’s commitment, under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to provide sustainable relief to citizens despite economic hurdles and political polarization. He noted that the government has made difficult decisions for the nation’s benefit, prioritizing long-term stability over short-term political gains.

The minister announced a reduction in electricity rates for domestic consumers to Rs. 7.41 per unit, characterizing it as a substantial relief measure. He stated that these efforts, coupled with reduced electricity costs and a favorable business environment, showcase the government’s tangible relief initiatives.

Tarar highlighted international recognition of Pakistan’s economic performance, with indicators suggesting a prosperous trajectory for the country under the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ initiative. He also announced reduced electricity rates for industrial consumers, aiming to stimulate economic activity and create jobs.

He acknowledged the role of the Pakistan Army in ensuring national security and economic stability, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration in the government’s achievements. Tarar urged party workers to continue engaging with the public to promote development, stability, and national unity.
