Lahore: In a ceremonial event at the Central Police Office, 57 officers received promotions to the rank of Inspector, a move overseen by the Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar. The gathering marked a significant milestone for the officers and was attended by their families.

Dr. Usman Anwar, who personally conferred the new ranks, offered congratulations to the officers and their families alongside senior police officials. According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the event was part of a broader initiative expected to see nearly 4,500 promotions across various ranks this year.

Further promotions are anticipated through a Promotion Board meeting scheduled for later this month, with the establishment of the CCD set to facilitate the promotion of an additional 449 Inspectors. Additionally, a meeting to discuss the promotion of Senior Traffic Wardens to Traffic Officers is planned for this Thursday.

Dr. Anwar emphasized the necessity for officers to maintain accurate ACRs and service records, urging them to serve the public diligently and without fear. Senior officials, including Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry and other key figures, attended the ceremony.
