Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the killing of eight Pakistani nationals in Mehrstan, Sistan province, Iran. In a statement, he expressed his deep grief over the incident and called for immediate action from the Iranian authorities.

The prime minister offered his condolences to the families of the deceased, emphasizing the need for a coordinated regional strategy to combat terrorism. He described terrorism as a threat affecting all countries in the region.

Sharif urged the Iranian government to promptly arrest those responsible and ensure they face justice. He also requested transparency regarding the reasons behind the killings.

Additionally, the prime minister directed Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to engage with the victims’ families and facilitate the repatriation of the bodies to Pakistan.
