Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Support to Saudi Arabia Amid Regional Tensions


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed Pakistan’s steadfast support for Saudi Arabia during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The conversation focused on ongoing hostilities in the region and recent attacks.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the attack on the Al Jubeil oil facility in Saudi Arabia and assured the Crown Prince of Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity. He emphasized that Pakistan stands ready to support Saudi Arabia, highlighting the historical support both nations have offered each other.



The Prime Minister also briefed the Crown Prince on Pakistan’s mediation efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East. He praised the Saudi leadership’s restraint and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace efforts in collaboration with other countries. Additionally, Sharif conveyed his greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
