Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif begins a three-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today, aiming to bolster bilateral relations and discuss regional and international issues of mutual interest with Saudi leadership.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who will join from Madina Munawwara following his visit to Jordan, and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with other ministers. The visit will feature discussions with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Pakistani Foreign Office Spokesperson highlighted that, despite occurring amidst heightened tensions in the Gulf, the visit’s significance extends beyond immediate crises. The discussions are anticipated to further deepen strategic cooperation, enhance coordination on regional and international issues, and reinforce multilateral cooperation between the two nations.
