Abu Dhabi, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan met with IT professionals and company representatives from the UAE and Pakistan during a roundtable in Abu Dhabi today, focused on enhancing tech collaboration between the two nations. The session, titled “Innovate together: UAE-Pakistan Tech Collaboration,” was attended by prominent leaders from both countries, including the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan.
According to Press Information Department, the event organized by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in coordination with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, aimed to deepen business ties and foster innovation in the IT and telecommunications sectors. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of building on the historical and institutional links between Pakistan and the UAE to drive digital transformation and growth in IT exports.
The session included discussions on current and future partnerships, success stories, and the signing of three Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between Pakistani and UAE IT firms. The Prime Minister also highlighted his government’s commitment to enhancing the investment ecosystem for the digital economy in Pakistan and invited investors to explore opportunities within the country.
The event concluded with a ceremony distributing momentos to UAE-based clients of Pakistani IT companies, celebrating their contributions to strengthening business-to-business cooperation.
