Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Begins Official Visit to Tajikistan with High-Level Talks


Dushanbe: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Dushanbe for a two-day official visit aimed at bolstering ties with Tajikistan. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by a host of Tajik officials, including Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda and other senior government and diplomatic figures.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif’s visit began with a tribute at the memorial of Tajik national hero Ismail Samani, where he laid a floral wreath. The visit underscores the deep respect and historical ties between the two nations. Later, at the Presidential Palace, President Emomali Rahmon welcomed him with a formal guard of honor, signifying the importance of this visit to Tajikistan.



The agenda for the visit includes high-level talks focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas such as energy, water resources, and regional security. This visit is expected to strengthen the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Tajikistan, further enhancing bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
