Beijing, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Beijing on June 5, marking the second leg of his five-day visit to China, aimed at deepening the multifaceted partnership between the two nations.
According to Press Information Department, Sharif was received by Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong. Accompanying the Prime Minister is a high-level delegation, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, along with other cabinet members and senior officials. Sharif’s agenda in Beijing is packed with high-profile meetings, including engagements with China’s President, Premier, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. Additionally, he will participate in a Pakistan-China Friendship and Business event and meet CEOs of leading Chinese companies involved in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The visit is expected to culminate in the signing of multiple memorandums of understanding across various sectors, further cementing the robust bilateral relationship.
