Doha: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Doha, Qatar, where he is set to engage in a bilateral meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. This meeting will focus on Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote peace on both regional and global fronts.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif was greeted at the airport by Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi. The reception was marked by a display of honor as Qatari fighter jets escorted the Prime Minister’s aircraft upon its entrance into Qatari airspace. A high-level delegation is accompanying the Prime Minister on this official visit.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Qatari leadership and the pilots for the reception. The discussions with the Emir of Qatar are anticipated to further strengthen the diplomatic ties between the two nations, with a focus on collaborative efforts for peace.
