ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has given his approval for the restructuring of the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) during a meeting held in Islamabad. The decision aims to align the institution with modern agricultural research demands and enhance its capabilities.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister instructed officials to develop a comprehensive plan with a clear timeline for the restructuring process. The plan involves transforming PARC into a leading agricultural research organization, modeled after the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This move underscores the government’s focus on bolstering agricultural research as a critical component of national development and food security.
