Beijing: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to bolstering cooperation with China in agriculture, science, innovation, and rural transformation. Speaking at a workshop on Pak-China agricultural cooperation, Sharif emphasized the importance of enduring institutional connections between the two nations to foster prosperity and shared development.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted Pakistan’s desire for increased collaboration with China in agriculture, stressing the necessity of revitalizing the country’s agricultural research centers. He proposed sending 1,000 fresh agriculture graduates from all provinces of Pakistan to Chinese universities for advanced training, ensuring the selection process remains merit-based.

Sharif described his meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang as productive and cordial, noting a mutual commitment to accelerating CPEC 2.0, with a particular focus on the agriculture sector.
