Prime Minister Prioritizes Economic Growth and Public Relief in Meeting with Lawmakers


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the government’s commitment to providing relief to the general public and steering the economy towards growth, as he met with Members of the National Assembly at Parliament House. According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted the continuation of policy reforms aimed at achieving economic stability at the grassroots level, which he believes will lead to sustainable growth and increased employment opportunities for the youth.



During discussions about the fiscal year 2026-27 budget, Sharif underscored that the government has extended maximum relief to the salaried class. He expressed optimism that the tax relief measures and facilities included in the budget for the business community would encourage investment and stimulate economic activity.



The National Assembly Members in attendance, including Samina Khalid, Shahida Rehman, Abrar Shah, Jamal Shah Kakar, Khurram Shahzad, Sardar Yaqub Khan Nasir, retired Major Tahir Iqbal, and Mian Khan Bugti, commended the Prime Minister’s leadership in crafting a balanced and public-friendly budget. They pledged their support for the government’s public welfare and economic development initiatives and engaged in discussions on issues related to their constituencies.
