PM Acknowledges Qatar’s Role in Pakistan’s Peace Efforts


ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, discussing the ongoing peace efforts involving Pakistan. The leaders exchanged greetings and conveyed good wishes to the people of their respective nations.



According to Radio Pakistan, during the call, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s support for Pakistan’s peace initiatives amid the Gulf crisis. He mentioned that a peace agreement is nearing completion, pending signatures from the involved parties. The Qatari Prime Minister acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to peace and commended the efforts of Prime Minister Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in advancing diplomatic initiatives.



The conversation also included Prime Minister Sharif extending greetings to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and reiterating an invitation for an official visit to Pakistan. Both leaders agreed to maintain communication in the coming days to further their collaborative efforts.
