ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended his economic team for their efforts in presenting a budget aimed at providing relief to various segments of society, including the salaried class, the business community, and the general public. During a meeting held in Islamabad, the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to ensuring that the benefits of improved economic indicators are shared with every citizen.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister acknowledged the contributions of his government’s economic team, particularly the Finance Ministry, in formulating a budget for the upcoming fiscal year that prioritizes public relief measures. He expressed his appreciation for Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kiani, the Finance Secretary, and the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue, along with the entire team involved in the budget preparation process.
The economic team highlighted the government’s efforts to provide maximum relief to the public amidst constrained financial resources. They expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for actively engaging in the budget formulation process, including consultations with stakeholders, issuing instructions for public relief, and engaging with the International Monetary Fund to enhance measures for public welfare.
Team members emphasized their commitment to continuing their efforts under the leadership of the Prime Minister to achieve development and prosperity in Pakistan. Multiple meetings were conducted to ensure the budget was balanced and considerate of all societal segments, with a focus on public and underprivileged relief.
