Prime Minister Orders District-Level Facilitation Desks for Apna Ghar Scheme


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has mandated the establishment of district-level facilitation desks for the Apna Ghar Scheme, aiming to assist citizens in acquiring the necessary land-related documents. During a meeting in Islamabad, he praised the public’s strong response to the initiative and emphasized the scheme’s potential to make home ownership a reality for many families.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the scheme’s role in fostering growth in the construction sector, boosting related industries, and contributing to overall economic expansion. He urged relevant authorities to enhance support for those interested in joining the scheme and instructed the Ministry of Housing to collaborate with the State Bank of Pakistan to simplify the application form.



Additionally, the Prime Minister called on banks to speed up the approval process for valid applications and directed authorities to amplify the nationwide awareness campaign for the initiative. The meeting revealed that over eleven billion rupees in loans have been distributed under the Apna Ghar Scheme. Out of sixty-seven thousand nine hundred applications received nationwide, sixteen thousand five hundred and eighty-seven have been approved, with three thousand one hundred and forty-six individuals already receiving loans.



The State Bank of Pakistan has mandated banks to process Apna Ghar Scheme application forms within fifteen days to ensure efficient service delivery.
