Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from August 6 to August 8, 2026. He will be joined by a high-level delegation that includes the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Defence Forces, and other ministers, as announced in a press release.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will join the delegation in Madina Munawwara following a stopover after his visit to Jordan for a ministerial meeting on Jerusalem. During the visit, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. The discussions will focus on strengthening the longstanding bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and will include an exchange of views on regional and international developments of mutual interest.

The visit underscores the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, founded on decades of mutual trust and cooperation. Despite ongoing tensions in the Gulf region, the visit aims to enhance strategic cooperation, deepen bilateral ties, and reinforce multilateral collaboration on issues of shared concern.
