Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended his congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Türkiye on the occasion of Victory Day. The Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the 30th of August, a date that marks Türkiye’s historic victory under Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, which laid the groundwork for the modern Turkish Republic.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif shared his message on the social media platform X, expressing solidarity with the Turkish nation. He emphasized the strong bonds between Pakistan and Türkiye, rooted in shared faith, history, and struggles. These ties have been further reinforced by the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, which includes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, demonstrating a collective commitment to security and defense.
Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to enhancing its strategic partnership with Türkiye in various sectors, aiming for mutual prosperity and security. He expressed optimism that the longstanding friendship and brotherhood between the two nations will continue to grow for future generations.
