Prime Minister Commends Record $4.3 Billion in Remittances Sent by Overseas Pakistanis in May


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his satisfaction over the record-breaking remittances amounting to $4.3 billion sent by overseas Pakistanis in May. The Prime Minister acknowledged the significant increase in remittances, which marked a 20.2 percent rise on a monthly basis and a 15.4 percent rise on an annual basis.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister praised the trust and contribution of overseas Pakistanis to the national economy, emphasizing their role as a crucial national asset. The remittances are seen as a vital component in supporting the country’s financial stability, especially in a challenging global economic environment.
