Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif engaged in a telephone conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha. The leaders exchanged greetings and discussed the strengthening of ties between their countries.
According to Press Information Department, the call was marked by mutual expressions of goodwill, with both leaders recalling previous meetings, including one in Antalya last April. They affirmed the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye, noting recent advancements. The conversation included discussions on accelerating bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, and regional peace efforts. President Erdogan offered condolences for a recent tragic event in Balochistan, and reassured support in combating terrorism.
