Islamabad, In a resolute address during the Pakistan Day Military Parade, President Asif Ali Zardari affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its sovereignty, expressing the nation’s desire for amicable relations with neighboring countries and its readiness to defend its territorial integrity.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Zardari’s speech at Shakarparian Parade Avenue emphasized Pakistan’s stance as a peace-loving and responsible nuclear state, while also underscoring its preparedness to counter any threats. He highlighted the nation’s unity and resilience, particularly referencing the military’s role in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty.

The President strongly addressed the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, criticizing the prolonged conflict and alleged human rights violations in the region. He called upon the international community to uphold the UN Security Council resolutions granting the right to self-determination to the Kashmiri people and voiced Pakistan’s continuous support for their cause.

Amid reflections on national pride and strength, President Zardari acknowledged the challenges Pakistan faces, emphasizing the role of democratic governance and public contribution to national development. He pointed to the youth’s potential as pivotal for the country’s progress and outlined initiatives like the Special Investment Facilitation Council aimed at boosting various economic sectors through foreign investment.

Further extending his address to global concerns, President Zardari expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, advocating for international intervention to cease the violence and establish humanitarian aid channels, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for Palestine’s self-determination.
