Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his heartfelt congratulations to President Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan and its citizens on the nation’s Independence Day.

According to Press Information Department: President Zardari emphasized the importance of the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, which are built on a foundation of shared history, cultural ties, mutual trust, and cooperation. In his message, he recalled his visit to Kyrgyzstan in July 2026, noting it as a significant moment to reinforce the longstanding relationship between the two countries. He also remembered President Zhaparov’s visit to Pakistan in December 2025 as a step towards mutual collaboration.

Both leaders have engaged in productive discussions during these visits, reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. President Zardari expressed his intention to continue collaborating closely with President Zhaparov to further enhance the partnership between the two nations.

In his message, President Zardari also conveyed his best wishes for President Zhaparov’s health and well-being, along with hopes for the continued peace, progress, and prosperity of the Kyrgyz people.
