Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed his condolences following a devastating explosion at a coal mine in China’s Shanxi province, which resulted in numerous fatalities and injuries.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari conveyed his sympathies to Chinese President Xi Jinping, the families affected by the incident, and the people of China. He extended his heartfelt condolences over the accident and expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with China during this challenging period. Additionally, the President offered his support to those injured and wished them a swift recovery.
President Zardari also expressed hope for the success of ongoing rescue operations aimed at saving the workers still trapped underground. He commended the efforts of Chinese authorities in their rescue and emergency response activities following the incident.
