President Zardari Embarks on Strategic Week-Long Visit to China


LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari departed for China today on a week-long visit aimed at bolstering economic and trade ties between the two nations, with a focus on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan was present at Lahore Airport to see off the President as he embarked on this diplomatic mission.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari’s visit comes at the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China. During his stay, he is scheduled to visit Changsha in Hunan Province and Sanya in Hainan Province, where he will engage in discussions with provincial leaders. These meetings will concentrate on strengthening Pakistan-China bilateral relations, emphasizing economic cooperation.



The visit is part of a longstanding tradition of high-level exchanges between Pakistan and China. This year holds particular significance as it marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, highlighting the enduring partnership and strategic collaboration.
