President Zardari Embarks on Historic Visit to Kyrgyz Republic


Bishkek: President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan begins a four-day official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic today, marking the first visit by a Pakistani president to the country in over two decades. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation, underscoring the significance of the trip in strengthening bilateral relations.



According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari is scheduled to meet with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov for both one-on-one and delegation-level discussions. The talks will cover a wide range of topics, including trade, investment, and regional developments. Both leaders are set to explore opportunities for cooperation in areas such as energy, mining, agriculture, textiles, healthcare, and the digital economy, among others.



The visit also includes a courtesy call with the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament, further emphasizing the diplomatic importance of this engagement. This visit follows President Zhaparov’s trip to Pakistan last December, highlighting the ongoing commitment to enhancing relations between the two nations.
