President Zardari Condemns Israeli Forces’ Actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a strong condemnation of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli occupation forces, describing the event as a violation of international law and an assault on the sanctity and historical character of the holy site. He emphasized the need for the international community to intervene and prevent further actions of this nature.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari expressed his concerns following an incident last Monday involving an Israeli Minister, which he labeled as a provocation. He rejected any attempts to alter the established religious and legal status of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The President also highlighted recent restrictions on access to the mosque, including during the holy periods of Ramzan and Eid, and suggested that the broader regional conflict, including tensions involving the US and Iran, seemed to be used as justification for these measures.

The President reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people, affirming their right to an independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital. He called for urgent international action to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
