President Macron Praises Pakistan’s Mediation in Iran-U.S. Ceasefire


Islamabad: French President Emmanuel Macron extended his commendations to Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the country’s mediation efforts that have led to a ceasefire between Iran and the United States. The acknowledgment came during a phone call where President Macron expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating dialogue between the two nations.



According to Radio Pakistan, the French President recognized Pakistan’s contribution in bringing Iran and the United States to the negotiating table. Macron also conveyed his best wishes for the success of the upcoming peace talks scheduled to be held in Islamabad. Prime Minister Sharif, in response, expressed gratitude for France’s support and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to pursuing peace and stability in the region.



The leaders also touched upon the issue of ongoing aggression in Lebanon, emphasizing the urgent requirement to halt violence and restore peace. They concurred on the importance of maintaining communication to address these regional challenges.
