SANYA: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended an invitation for increased Chinese investment in Pakistan’s key sectors, including alternate energy, water treatment, and electric vehicle battery systems. The call was made during a meeting with Wang Jian, CEO of Hangzhou Jinjiang Group, in Hainan province.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari emphasized the Pakistani government’s active encouragement of foreign investment, particularly in sectors that promise sustainable growth and industrial development. He highlighted that such partnerships could bolster economic progress in the region.
The President also assured that the Government of Sindh is prepared to provide comprehensive support to foreign investors, especially within public-private partnership frameworks. During the meeting, it was noted that Hangzhou Jinjiang Group is already involved in several projects across Pakistan and is among China’s leading business groups, with endeavors in diverse industries such as heavy industry, fertilizer, oil and gas, coal gasification, renewable energy, agriculture, and irrigation.
